The next entry...

The "Golden Hind"
Sir Francis Drake's famous galleon
(look it up)

This has nothing to do with this post, but there it is, sitting in dry dock just off the Thames...looking all historic and stuff!

I know it seems kind of early, but here is the next post:
It's hard to believe that we're going into week nine of our lectures on Monday!  So far we have learned about  ~The Abrahamic Covenent: We are 'blessed to be a blessing'! ~Nature and Character of God/Father Heart of God: He is 'before all things, and in Him all things hold together'! ~The Lordship of Christ: 'Jesus Christ is not valued at all until He is valued above all'! ~Identity: How am I SHAPED?  Identity, Spirit, soul, spiritual gifts, Heart, passions, dreams, Abilities and skills, Personality preferences, Experiences, Destiny/DNA/determination. Plus we did the Meyers-Briggs test: Sheri is an ENFJ, Dan is an INFP! ~The Cross, Resurrection & Ascension: 'God and Jesus were not separated on the cross...the prophecy of Psalm 22 was fulfilled'! ~Freedom & Forgiveness: 'The freedom that comes from Jesus is only acquired through death to self'! Plus an amazing night and morning of Original Design prayer, prophecy and testimony! ~The Holy Spirit: Gifts of the Spirit; 'wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, interpretation'! Powerful and insightful.

And with that friends, you are caught up! And it just keeps getting better and better! The lecturers, staff and students are such a joy to be around. All last week we were 'angels & mortals' and we gifted our mortals each day as we were gifted by our secret angels. Last night we had a 'love feast' with formal dinner, where everyone creatively revealed who there mortal was. Such fun!

As some of you know, we are in the process of getting our vaccinations in preparation for our outreach to Uganda, and they area considerably more pricey than anticipated. So if anyone is feeling led...our support address is:

Dan & Sheri White
3472 Research Parkway 104-#112

Colorado Springs, CO 80920                         (just sayin')

But most of all, we sincerely cherish and appreciate all your prayers!

Greetings from Highfield Oval

Greetings from HIghfield Oval, Harpenden, UK!

This may be a bit late getting up and running, but at least it will be brief. There will be more to come soon, I promise! Forgive me if I overuse such terms as "amazing" and "awesome" and various other amazing, awesome adjectives. After we've been here longer I'll also include some "brilliants"!

Thank you all who helped make this adventure possible, and thank you for your continued prayers and support!

The beauty of this area is, well, awesome! So much green! Such beautiful autumn colors and morning fog! So much...cold! The buildings are quite old and they don't turn on the room heat until the middle of the month, so nights and mornings are quite nippy. Afternoons have been very comfortable and we haven't seen any rain, but that is supposed to change tomorrow. Yesterday Sheri found an electric throw for the bed, so she's a happy camper.

The people here are so amazing! All the staff have such an incredible heart for Jesus and are so anxious to share that passion. And our fellow DTSers are so much fun and incredibly diverse. There are three other older couples (grey tops) and the rest are young adults (18 to 31). Sheri and I want to adopt all of them! I think some of them would come home with us. We grey tops call ourselves GWAM (geezers with a mission).

Even though we've only been here a week, it feels like much longer. Not because it has dragged out, but because we have learned and shared so much and it's been so emotional. Staff and students alike have some amazing and touching stories. We listen, we talk, we sing, laugh and cry. We pray and praise.

It's a challenge and a privilege. And it's fun. We are so blessed to be here and look forward to seeing what God has is store for us and sharing it with you.

Again, thank you for all your prayers. We feel them and God hears them.  D&S
